The Austrian answered the maltreatment in a tweet.

“Concerning The Best Honor:
The Austrian public group vote in favor of this honor collectively, not me alone. Everybody in the group committee can cast a ballot and that is the way it’s chosen. Everybody knows, particularly Karim, the amount I appreciate him and his exhibitions,” Alaba said on Twitter.
