Help Grease the Wheels

You can get involved by donating a bike, contributing financially, or signing your corporate team up to volunteer. We’re always looking for volunteers! We’ll take individuals or teams. Donating a bike, time, or money help kids make healthy habits early on setting them up for greater success as adults!

Support us by Donating a Bike

We start collecting bikes in September during Madison Bike Week. We prefer gently used bikes but will accept most bikes if they’re in repairable condition. Our staff and volunteers clean and repair your donations, so rideable bikes are most helpful. Sorry, but we are not able to pickup bikes from individuals. If you have bikes that cannot be repaired and are looking to dispose of them, please contact Freewheel Community Bikes or take them to the metal recycling center closest to you.

WE ARE NOW ACCEPTING BIKE DONATIONS AT EAST TOWNE MALL. PLEASE SETUP AN APPOINTMENT TO DROP OFF BY EMAILING US. VIEW A MAP OF DROP OFF LOCATION

Support us by Donating Financially

Your donations help us give away bikes! It costs us about $100 to give a kid a fully refurbished bike, helmet, headlight, taillight, t-shirt, and lock. Plus, our sustainable mission helps us keep thousands of pounds of metal and rubber out of the landfill. FB4K Madison is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible. Checks can be mailed to:

Financial Donation

All items donated to Free Bikes 4 Kidz Madison are deductible for income tax purposes at their present fair market value. Internal Revenue Code places the responsibility for estimating the fair market value upon the donor rather than the agency receiving the gift. (Local office of the Internal Revenue advises that “Fair Market Value” is interpreted as that which a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept.) Free Bikes 4 Kidz does not provide any goods or services for any property contributed. Click for a printable Tax Receipt for your bike donation.
