Help Grease the Wheels

You can get involved by donating a bike, contributing financially, or signing your corporate team up to volunteer. We’re always looking for volunteers! We’ll take individuals or teams. Donating a bike, time, or money help kids make healthy habits early on setting them up for greater success as adults!

Support us by Donating Financially

Your donations help us give away bikes! It costs us about $100 to give a kid a fully refurbished bike, helmet, headlight, taillight, t-shirt, and lock. Plus, our sustainable mission helps us keep thousands of pounds of metal and rubber out of the landfill. FB4K Madison is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Donations are tax deductible. Checks can be mailed to:

Support us by Donating a Bike

We typically collect bikes September through March. We prefer gently used bikes but will accept bikes if they’re in repairable condition. Our staff and volunteers clean and repair your donations, so rideable bikes are most helpful. Sorry, we are not able to pick up bikes from individuals. If you have bikes that need to be disposed of, please take them to the metal recycling center closest to you.

WE ARE STILL ACCEPTING BIKE DONATIONS AT EAST TOWNE MALL. YOU CAN DROP BIKES MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS 9AM-3PM AT OUR BACK DOOR. DRIVE UP TO DICK’S AND HEAD IN TO THE ALLEY TO THE LEFT OF THEIR ENTRANCE. OUR DOOR IS ON THE RIGHT AT #308. IF YOU WANT US TO BE THERE, PLEASE SEND US AN EMAIL AND MAKE AN APPT ON MONDAY OR WEDNESDAY. THANK YOU!

Financial Donation

All items donated to Free Bikes 4 Kidz Madison are deductible for income tax purposes at their present fair market value. Internal Revenue Code places the responsibility for estimating the fair market value upon the donor rather than the agency receiving the gift. (Local office of the Internal Revenue advises that “Fair Market Value” is interpreted as that which a buyer is willing to pay and a seller is willing to accept.) Free Bikes 4 Kidz does not provide any goods or services for any property contributed. Click for a printable Tax Receipt for your bike donation.
